Visited by an Angel

Yes it’s true, I had a little Angel visit me yesterday (actually there were 2). I have photographed little Miss A since she was in her mommy’s tummy. She has changed so much over the past 10 months, and is becoming a beautiful little girl. I look forward to may more sessions with you all over the next year.

Look who’s turning 1

I really can’t believe that Mr D is turning 1 next week. What seems like only a few short moments ago, he was only 2 months old and making us laugh with his beautiful big smile. Well, even through my equipment malfunction yesterday, he still mad us laugh and smile. It was such a joy to watch him grow up into such a cute (and quick) little toddler, and can’t wait to photograph his birthday session!

Nutcracker 2011

Even though it has been a crazy time of year, I still take the time to help Miss Beverly by photographing the dancers participating in the Nutcracker. This was her 34th year producing the performance, which displays local talent from both sides of the border.  This year she added another male lead, Georgi (from Russia!). It was so nice to see Irek, Jessica and Tanya return as the leads in the ballet as well.  It was an honour and privilege to be asked again to provide photographs for the production. Thank you Miss Bev and a congratulations to all the dancers- it was another wonderful performance.

Made a monkey outta me….

Yep, it’s true. Eaglecrest Aerial Park in Bracebridge managed to make a monkey out of me (well, all 3 of us actually). It was part of our camping trip to Arrowhead Provincial Park last week. It was the only nice and sunny day we had and spent it climbing trees! As we walked into the park I could see Jordyn’s light up like her first Christmas morning – she couldn’t believe that she was going to be climbing around the trees. All she wanted to know was”Where’s the Big Zip?”

After a mandatory orientation as to properly use your harness and to always be clipped in (and a massive mad dash back thru the parking lot to switch camera’s -one that could be hidden in my pockets) we were finally off to the Big Zip. The Big Zip -a 350 foot zipline across the paddle boat pond at Santa’s Village. Even after the first kid didn’t make it all the way across, Jordyn was laughing and somewhat patiently waiting her turn.

She had no fear….
